When Life Feels Stuck, Let the Stitching Flow

There’s a strange kind of stress that comes with feeling like you can’t move forward – when plans fall through, things don’t go your way, and you’re left treading water instead of swimming ahead.

I’ve been feeling that lately myself. After several house sales collapsing, it’s been hard not to feel worn down by the uncertainty. It’s that frustrating limbo – where you want to get on with things, but everything’s on hold. And I know I’m not alone. Whether it’s family, health, work, or just the general whirlwind of life – we all hit patches where we’re running on empty.

When that happens, I find comfort in the small wins – tidying a drawer, sewing something simple, turning chaos into order with a few pins and a length of thread. It doesn’t solve everything, but it soothes something.

And in that spirit, I’ve been having a huge clear-up here at Sewing Chest – sorting through boxes, tidying shelves, and unearthing all sorts of lovely remnants, ends of rolls, and forgotten treasures. I’m popping lots of them online at tiny prices, so if you're in need of a creative pick-me-up without the big spend, it's a great time to have a rummage.

Whether you’re easing back into sewing, making to sell, or just want to try something new without breaking the bank – there are bargains to be had.

Check the site regularly – I’m adding more as I go, and once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Creativity might not fix life’s big messes, but it can absolutely help us find a little peace – and that’s a good place to start.

Love,
Kellie
