Silver eye needles, despite being darners these still have a sufficiently sharp point and are fine enough for most ordinary hand sewing projects, (eg, sewing on buttons etc)  These are much longer than most needs (71mm end to end), and therefore ideal for anyone who finds short needles rather difficult to hold.
