Add a touch of sparkle to handmade lingerie with these bright silver bra and suspender strap slides, featuring a beautiful round profile and four small diamantés set into the centre bar.

These pretty fittings are designed for 12-13mm wide elastic or strap, with an internal width of 12mm. Rather than hiding the diamanté detail beneath the strap, they can be threaded in a slightly different way to leave the decorative centre bar fully visible.

Supplied as single units, these are ideal for bra making, suspender belts, lingerie, dancewear and other projects where a little extra glamour is required.

How to Use

These slides can be used in the usual way, but doing so would cover the attractive diamanté bar. We recommend the following method to keep the decoration visible.

1. With the right side of your strap facing upwards, place the slide face up, with the diamantés visible.
2. Thread the strap from the top to the bottom of the lower bar.
3. Fold the strap back on itself and sew securely in place.
4. Thread a strap ring onto the free length of strap.
5. Bring the strap underneath the slide and around to the top.
6. Thread the strap from the top, through the top bar of the slide.
7. Finally, take the strap underneath the diamanté bar and back up through the lower bar.

This creates the familiar adjustable strap arrangement while keeping the diamanté centre bar exposed rather than hidden beneath the strap.

Positioning the Fitting

The arrangement also gives you flexibility over where the decorative slide sits.

• Ring attached to the front of the bra: the diamanté slide sits towards the front of the body.
• Strap end attached to the front and ring attached to the back: the diamanté slide sits towards the back of the body.

This makes them particularly effective as a visible decorative feature rather than simply a functional strap adjuster.
